Aventa for AEC information management

Considering Plannerly or Morta? Explore Aventa’s approach to connecting project context, sources, activities and evidence—with AI assistance and professional review.

Why consider Aventa?

Aventa Advisory connects project context, source material, activities, assigned responsibility and evidence in a structured information-management process. AI assistance can support analysis and drafting, with professional review. Explore Aventa Advisory’s connected approach and how the workflow works against your own brief.

  • Start with your project. Bring the brief and source material into the information-management process so the work has a defined context.
  • Make the work visible. Connect activities, assigned responsibility and expected evidence in a shared project view.
  • Keep people in control. Use AI assistance for analysis and drafting while professionals check the sources, resolve gaps and approve the response.

Availability varies by use case. A configured use case needs project sources and setup; planned handover and operations workflows are not complete capabilities available today. Discuss any required integrations, model-authoring or operational asset-management needs with us before choosing the workflow.

Available in Aventa

Creating a shared view of information responsibilities

Aventa can bring activities, assigned responsibility and expected evidence into a single project view for team review.

Available with configuration

Checking whether project information meets the brief

With the brief and project sources set up, Aventa can organise activities and supporting evidence so people can inspect gaps and record follow-up work.

Planned direction

Planning handover information for asset operation

Aventa is intended to help capture operational information needs early and connect them to delivery activities and reviews.

Start with the information problem.

For a UK AEC practice or delivery team, that might mean understanding a client brief and agreeing the evidence needed for review. For a client or asset owner, it might mean deciding which information supports acceptance, handover and future operations. The right technology solutions depend on those responsibilities and on the systems already specified for your project.

  1. Define the work: requirements, document control, model coordination, project controls, evidence review or asset information.
  2. Identify who produces, reviews and accepts the information, and which system holds the agreed record.
  3. Check the full working process, including configuration, access, data export, support and professional review.
  4. Evaluate AI and automation against a representative task. Measure the effort to prepare, check and correct the result before claiming an efficiency gain.

A SaaS subscription does not by itself establish a working information-management process. Compare the software, implementation effort and ongoing responsibilities together.

Comparing Aventa with Plannerly and Morta

Plannerly and Morta are direct competitors to Aventa. If you are choosing between them, evaluate the same information-management task in each product. The decision should reflect the work you need today, the configuration required and the evidence you need to review.

Aventa or Plannerly?

Plannerly’s published modules cover documents, scope and requirements, verification and file management. Aventa’s focus is a project-context-led process connecting sources, activities, evidence and reviewable outputs, with AI-assisted guidance and drafting.

If model verification or a specific BIM planning deliverable is central to your brief, ask for that exact workflow to be demonstrated. For Aventa, check the current use-case status: dedicated delivery plans and responsibility matrices remain planned direction. Where source interpretation and guided evidence review are the priority, compare how each product supports that work from input to reviewed response.

Aventa or Morta?

Morta’s published focus is connected project controls, with configurable workflows for project data, tracking, checking and reporting. Aventa’s focus is structured information management around project context, sources, activities and evidence, with professional review of AI-assisted work.

Compare a real information requirement and its supporting records in both products. Ask who configures the process, how a reviewer traces a finding to its source and how the team records follow-up work. Evaluate the effort to maintain the process as well as the initial demonstration.

These are differences in published emphasis, not claims that a feature is exclusive or absent elsewhere. The supplier sources below support the descriptions; a demonstration is needed to establish fit and current availability.

Other software in your AEC environment

Your project may already use Asite, ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma/ACC or SharePoint. Understanding their published focus helps define the information-management work you want Aventa to support. Existing system requirements and any integration needs should be discussed in your Aventa walkthrough.

Asite
Construction and asset information platform offering a common data environment, document control, BIM collaboration and information-delivery workflows.
Bentley ProjectWise
Infrastructure project-delivery software for engineering information, design workspaces, collaboration, reviews and deliverables.
Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud / ACC)
Autodesk's AECO industry cloud spans planning, design, construction and operations. Autodesk Construction Cloud became part of Forma in March 2026; familiar names and workflows may still appear in project requirements.
Microsoft SharePoint
Microsoft's content and collaboration platform for organisational knowledge, sites, files, sharing and governance within Microsoft 365.

Use the same worked example in every demonstration.

Bring a sample client brief, one information requirement, an assigned activity and a supporting document. Ask each supplier to show where the requirement lives, how a reviewer finds the evidence, how a gap is recorded and how follow-up work is assigned. Use fictional or approved sample data.

Then ask what you can export, who can see each record, how changes are tracked, what configuration costs and how any integration is supported. For asset management and operations, identify the information the receiving team needs and check the handover process with them. For an AEC course or research project, start with the learning or research question; see our education and research examples.
